What differentiates a SUFI OF A SCHOLAR
At the beginning of the Ottoman Empire, there was a sultan who was interested in turuq (pl. of Tariqa) and one day asked his vizier: " What is the difference between a person educated or erudite, and the People of the Way ? "
" His Majesty - the official replied - if accepted, tonight we can go to a place where the difference will be very clear . "
Hours later, they changed their costumes and pretending to be ordinary people, were a big house where there was a meeting which they participated as guests of scholars and people from Tariqa. Entered and settled in a corner. Then came a person to whom the vizier asked: " O our master!, who here is the first of scholars? " Receiving an answer ' Do not you know who I am, so I ask this question, I am the first . " Then came a second, and the vizier asked him the same way. Enraged, the educated man yelled: " That question is this? Do not you know who I am? I am the first, the best! "
All scholars said was the first, most important at this meeting. And wore huge turbans.

Later he began to reach the people of turuq. The vizier came over and said: " salaam alaykum The, oh my brother, oh Naqshbandi shaykh! Among those present, who is the most important Tariqa Shaykh? " And listen: " It's coming behind me . "
What came later added: " The brother who comes next . " Those who came, forty in all, responded: " Come after me . " And the latter said: " They just go . "
Then the sultan concluded: " The first are the scholars, and the latter are the Tariqa, who train their egos applying grafts to change for good the bad features . "

The Sufi sage told: ' as thou shalt do as much damage to be this poor? "
The Sufi replied, " Oh wise, the fault was with the dog, not mine! If I hit him was because he spotted me clothes . "
The dog, however, increasingly groaned.
The wise asked to the dog so in pain: " In return what can i give to you to reduce your pain crature by Allah (swt)? If you do not want me to take the blame of "this Sufi", so, i will punish you so that you have justice ? "
" Oh wise unique - said the dog - to see this human wearing the mantle Sufi, made me have confidence in him. I never imagined that him would hurt me. If him was Without the robe, i would have prevented from him. That was my mistake. If you want to punish him, strip her clothes reserved for the righteous, so that no one be fooled by their appearance . "

One day, when the Shaykh Abd Allah Mubarak (736-798) was in Makkah, in dreams he saw two angels descend from the heavens, wondering how many pilgrims were resorting that year: " Six hundred thousand , "said one. " And how many whose pilgrimage has been accepted? " " Not one , "replied the other angel. " However, he added, there is a cobbler in Damascus called Ali ibn Mufiq, which has not made the pilgrimage in person, well, their pilgrimage was accepted and was granted the grace of six hundred thousand pilgrims . "
When he awoke, the Shaykh decided to go to Damascus to know that cobbler. Finally found him and told him his dream.
It was an old man who, on hearing that report, began to cry.
He said that thirty years ago, after having saved the expense of large feathers, three hundred and fifty gold coins to go to Mecca, he knew that their neighbors were hungry.
Then, he handed them the sum telling them: " Take the money to meet your expenses, this will be my pilgrimage . "
yeah. have who prefer go to travel to Maka, oa another way, in a trip, for luxure, than to help who are needing . And , yet, say badness about brothers and sisters.

A baker had heard of the famous Abu Bakr al-Shibli and longed to meet him. One day, Shibli was their bakery and, without hiding, grabbed a bread. Baker, who had never seen him, he advanced on him, took his hand bread, telling him: " Go, beggar, my bread is not for you .
" Shibli was gone. Then someone said to Baker: " Do you know that this man is Shibli? As you deny the bread ?
" Dead of shame, Baker ran after Shibli, overtook and throwing herself at his feet asked him a thousand apologies. Shibli told him: " If you would be forgiven, prepare a feast for tomorrow, and call many guests . "
Baker was quick to set a sumptuous feast, inviting large numbers of people and announcing the presence of Shibli. When he arrived, everyone sat down to eat.
A pious man asked, " How can you discern between a good man and a bad man?
" Shibli replied: " If you want to see a bad man, look at our host, for me, spent one hundred gold coins, by Allah, no one wanted to give bread. Rather than surrender to the madness to spend a great man, more worth giving it a sweet bread with a beggar. Opinion generous man is nothing, what counts is the purity of intention . "
it is so.....

They asked him, " Grandmother, how did you know that be? "
She humbly replied: " I knew the fire would consume or my house or my heart.
But Allah(swt), who has burned my heart on probation , when i was trying come to here for be by side of my family from Allah(sw), would not burn up my house too "
